DSB Twinhead NG opens up new customer segments for Italians

The Pantograf company, based in San Polo di Piave in Italy, demonstrates complete confidence in the WINTERSTEIGER technology. As a manufacturing contractor, Pantograf cuts lamellas for its customers and thus needs to be highly flexible to meet different requirements.

Pantograf had invested in the thin-cutting frame saw Eco already in 2004; the purchase of the thin-cutting band saw DSB Singlehead in 2009 boosted the capacity significantly.

And recently the Italians pulled off the next coup: they also put the first thin-cutting band saw DSB Twinhead NG into operation. "We have had excellent experiences with the technology from WINTERSTEIGER and have remained loyal to our line," emphasizes Managing Director Silvano Lorenzon.

For Pantograf, the DSB Twinhead NG with its minimal kerf is the answer to a new trend in the market. "Our customers are increasingly delivering wet wood to us. Using the DSB Twinhead NG, we can meet this challenge particularly well, and we can satisfy this new customer segment reliably. The machines are compact, powerful and can be operated by a single person," says Lorenzon.

With this additional investment, Pantograf is prepared for any situation. "For us, flexibility means being able to implement a wide variety of customer needs. The extended machine pool now allows us to offer complete solutions for all types of wood and any cutting," says Lorenzon.
